Townsville economically has the army base, lagoons and huge viewing spaces, socially there is lots of tours going out to the beautiful beaches of magnetic island and Culturally is another one of those big towns everyone wants to see.
On the second day in Townsville we went on a cruise over to Magnetic island.
The first place we caught the bus to was Horseshoe bay where we swam and hand fed the wild rainbow lorikeets.
We then stayed at Elma bay for the rest of the day.
We snorkelled and saw some fantastic zebra fish between the rocks and some big mullet. We then caught the ferry back and had some of the best fish n' chips ever.
