Charters towers

Still hot but spitting and all the rivers and creeks are flooded. Once again another 10 hour drive. This will probably be the last long drive. The towns that we are passing are economically very poor and don't have very much at all in them. Socially everyone knows each other. Culturally there are lots of different races, mostly aboriginals but lots of tourists. Charters towers is quite big and in the caravan park very tropical with lots of palm trees and bats. Went for a swim on sundown surprisingly it was very warm. Love NE Queensland.
